What a metallic floor actually is
Metallic pigments are suspended in a clear epoxy and then worked by hand while the resin is still moving. The installer pushes the metallic through the coat to create depth, movement, and pools of light, then it is sealed under a clear topcoat. Because it is worked by hand, no two floors are ever the same, and yours cannot be reproduced anywhere else.
It suits living areas, kitchens, entryways, offices, showrooms, and covered outdoor kitchens and patios. It reads like polished stone at a fraction of the cost of stone.
Metallic vs tile
This is the comparison most people are really making, so here is the honest version.
There is no grout
Grout is the part of a tile floor that fails. It absorbs grease, spills, and pollen, it stains, it cracks, and no amount of mopping gets it back. A metallic floor is one continuous surface with nothing to trap anything.
Nothing to come loose
Tiles lift, crack, and come loose over a moving slab. A metallic floor is bonded to the concrete as one piece, so there are no individual units to fail.
It is a warrantied floor
Grout carries no warranty at all. Our floors carry a 5-Year Limited Warranty in writing — including covered outdoor spaces.
How a metallic floor is installed
Free on-site measure
We measure, test the slab for moisture, and go through colours with physical samples. Metallic colour choices matter more than on any other system.Grind and repair

How long does a metallic floor take?
It is a multi-day install. Each layer has to cure before the next goes down, and the metallic layer itself is worked by hand and cannot be rushed. Our flake garage floors are a one-day system; metallic is not, and any installer telling you otherwise is cutting cure time.
Why choose metallic over tile?
Mainly the grout. Grout is the part of a tile floor that fails first, and in a kitchen or an outdoor kitchen it absorbs grease, spills, and pollen and never fully cleans up. A metallic floor is one continuous seamless surface with no grout lines, no joints, and nothing for dirt to sit in. It also carries a warranty, which grout does not.
Will my floor look exactly like the photos?
No, and that is the point. Every metallic floor is worked by hand, so the pattern is one of a kind. Samples and photos show you the colour and the character you will get, not an identical copy. If you want a floor that is perfectly uniform, flake is the better choice.
Can a metallic floor go outside?
Covered outdoor spaces such as patios and outdoor kitchens are fine, and they carry the same 5-Year Limited Warranty as an interior floor. Fully exposed areas that take direct sun need a UV-stable specification so the finish does not yellow, and we price that differently. Tell us at the measure whether the area is covered.
Is it slippery?
A high-gloss floor is slick when it is wet, like any polished surface. We can add a slip-resistant additive to the topcoat, which we recommend as standard for kitchens, entryways, and anywhere near a pool or an outside door.
What does a metallic floor cost?
A fixed lump-sum price quoted after we measure. Metallic costs more per square foot than flake because of the hand work and the extra coats, and the price also depends on whether the existing floor has to come up first. The measure is free.
What is the warranty?
Metallic floors, including covered outdoor spaces, are covered by our 5-Year Limited Warranty against peeling, blistering, delamination and UV yellowing under normal use. Residential projects sold before 15 September 2026 remain covered by the Limited Lifetime Warranty that was in effect at the time of sale.
